Normal people want to die peacefully in their sleep. I want to stare death in the face, fight it till I can do nothing but surrender, and collapse into a singularity amongst the stars. It will be my last experience. How could I not want to live it fully?pic.twitter.com/LEDeZz3CvC

The next time you're sick with the flu, try imagining, "This is the best I'm ever going to feel from now on. My symptoms will only get worse, until this eventually kills me in 2 weeks." I did this for real. I found it *impossible* to be so sanguine about death. It was terrifying!

No, I mean the *suffering* is what terrified me! If I can't even handle a mere fever and vomiting, then I certainly can't blame people for wanting to die peacefully in their sleep, instead of having The Guantanamo Bay Experience as their last conscious moment in this life.
