a ramble on comfort: we find comfort in stasis but freedom in new & scary situations we can't predict. you can only know your comfort zone by stepping out of it. and every time you do, it widens a little. so does your being, and so does your contentment.

what goes for personal development goes for societal development as well. we are comfortable with how the world currently goes around, and we justify this fear of moving forward, outward, and upward with cherry-picked data. again - while we stay still, time marches onward...

...and along with time, the consequences of our inaction. you'll always experience a certain amount of anxiety with change & new arenas of thought and interaction. that's all part and parcel. what's more terrifying is if you never push yourself enough to fear at all.
