I imagine in the future a really cool hobby would be to scour through the archives of the internet just to find the weirdest shit. Imagine a class project to find a random and largely unknown person from the past and learn as much about them as possible. Open source history!

You mean something like an AI that's catered to our interests? I think about those. Were already on our way with recommendation algorithms (E.g. on Netflix)
