I've taught coding as an extra curricular activity for 3 different schools now... Here's some things I've learnt about 8-10 year olds! These kid's brains are super impressionable, and they get distracted very easily. My no.1 struggle is controlling access to games.

doing a trial open to everyone, and about 20 extra random kids showed up expressing interest in coding. Even kids in grade one! There's a huge opportunity for startups in this area to get young kids thinking about how computers work.

Computer science is often neglected or not taught well in schools, I assume because one can learn a lot more as a software engineer than a comp sci teacher. So contracting this out to specialised people is a promising area!
