Dissociation is something I often struggle with - that feeling of being disconnected to reality, of being detached from yourself, and watching some stranger live in a body that is supposedly yours Walking around barefooted helps by mindfully focusing on the sensations & textures

I think everyone can benefit from these immediate sensory mindfulness practices The digital world deals with sight, emotions and intellect. Focus is taken away from your body If you neglect to reconnect, this can have -ve mental & physical consequences

Consider self harm. As it goes, people often don't harm themselves with the intent of dying, but with the intent of feeling alive But there are better ways of feeling alive in the world. & the more extreme your coping mechanisms, the more resistant you'll be, always needing more
