boredom is a product of the ego it's plain narcissism. and, imo, fundamentally disrespectful of nature and the universe how can we look at a thing, dismiss its impossible journey to get here, remove the wonder and complexity from it, and not call that a manifestation of evil?

Sometimes boredom is merely a stopping point so you can gain the confidence to break down your resistance to doing the necessary work. The ego in this case gives you the gift of a "checkpoint".
