This concept of devalued and siphoned time/attention — its a beast of an opportunity cost. Part of the problem is that media content is intentionally packaged and gamed to lock our eyeballs on the screen. Spoiler, I don’t like taxes very much, so I wonder about other solutions?

There’s a lot of uneven terrain in this concept that would be bulldozed. Engaging creatively with new people online, watching documentaries, listening to thoughtful podcasts, etc. At what point would the tax be pushed back toward ‘distracting’ content creators? Tough decisions.
