Everything sells. Even culture. After realising that you can profit of people's interests, and even their political views, the next step is to manufacture your own culture so people no longer see a corporation but instead see a way of affirming their identity.
And yeah, given issues such as sustainability and inequality being increasingly present in our conversations, were only going to see more instances of companies taking advantage of this to move convo away from their dodgy practices.
