both the masculine and the feminine. Why should we restrict ourselves just to one, when we can have the benefits of both? And while we’re at it, why should we restrict ourselves from defining another while we’re at it? Some people recognise gender as a construct and stop there,
revolting against it. But everything is a construct. Recognise this and then recognise whether or not that construct is useful enough for you to live by. If it is not, change it in your own life. Others react against the revolt with hatred and in doing so try desperately to
reassert their own role and attempt to force roles upon others. This only adds fire to the flame. Reintroduce the discussion of archetypes into this debate on gender. Allow people to, if they so choose, mix and match to build the best and most comfortable version of themselves.
