This is why we need communicators and skeptics. Whilst research is more reliable, it often takes too long to reliably assess the true effects of technological change — change that will only get faster, and more impactful, as time goes on.

Whilst consensus in scientific research is one delay, the divide between these experts and the creation of government policy is another potentially life-threatening point of weakness in mitigating & making positive powerful technological/systematic change.

To strengthen these weak spots in cohesive & positive societal organisation, we need: — more scientific influence in policy making — more science communicators — more science experts versed in politics Science is society’s way of knowing. It should also be it’s way of doing.
