fundamentally, we are conscious observers of the universe. I like to perceive our relation as symbiotic - the universe needs us in order for its existence to be acknowledged, and likewise, we need it in order for our existence to be possible this cosmic duality fascinates me.

i guess yes, just like we can say that other people exist even when we die and are unable to observe them anymore. but with no one to observe the universe, whats the point of it all? i like to think the universe wants to know itself same as we do

Yes this is one possible implication from evolution theory, that existence is simply a cause of evolution. Consciousness may also simply be subject to ancestors were better at reproducing when being conscious, and that’s why humans are conscious.
