fundamentally, we are conscious observers of the universe. I like to perceive our relation as symbiotic - the universe needs us in order for its existence to be acknowledged, and likewise, we need it in order for our existence to be possible this cosmic duality fascinates me.
i have very little clue
what was the state of the universe before the big bang? surely not a whole load of nothing. matter cant be created or destroyed right? who knows. one of life's great mysteries. i for one enjoy that its not so easy to figure out :P

Is it really more believable that the big bang happened spontaneously, completely out of nothing? Or to think there is a higher power / creator that set up the universe ? True, it's the hardest question to answer and possibly the most important one we could ask!

Wasn't really a 'big bang'. Was an expansion. And that expansion continues. An expansion out of what? Why, another universe
Probably out of a black hole, since they create singularities.
Next problem... how big is the universe of universes?
Obvious answer: dunno. - 1 more reply
