Comparing yourself with others is a fallacy. You’re comparing your internal self with others’ external selves. And these are two very different things, serving entirely differing functions.

hmm although I think the notion of an internal self is a fallacy. There is a subjective experience, and hiding behind that lots of unconscious processes, feeling states and emotions. Very few people - if any - know 'themselves'
