We live in a world of abstractions.
Our words abstract meanings from entities and ideas, our eyes see colours from only a tiny portion of possible wavelengths, and there are sounds our pets can hear but we cannot.

Much of life as a whole goes on without us even noticing. (And we used to think we were the centre of the universe...) Our abstraction consists of our own personal experiences, but unlike other organisms we also experience life vicariously.

We pass information down through generations and gain insights from across the world with the internet. This hive mind gives us the ability to experience multiple lives. To gain more information about the nature of reality. Yet it is still a small portion of the whole.

Our species is unique in its worldview, unique in its abstraction. The only lifeforms that understand your perspective are other humans. Without them, you would be an alien. Humans are here for the sake of one another. We must recognise this if we wish to live on.
