Oooh. Hopefully government policy can catch up with data ownership. Whoever owns the data will have power in the future. Interesting to see how this might widen the rift between the poor and the rich, as although they have leverage w/ data, they’re kinda selling their souls

That’s true. And if gov owns the data rather than corporations, then that’s really just as bad. Decentralising it will combat authoritarian tendencies
