Don’t have a fixed preference for the *source* of your answers. Necessarily it’s “experience” even if that’s the experience of encountering other people’s recall of their answers. In many cases it’s not so much the answer that matters but the method used to reach it.
It’s much easier to let someone else give you all the answers than to find them out for yourself. Culture functions as a universal ouija board, but it’s not always right. Particularly when it comes to existential questions, find the answer through your own experience.
