Philosophers will need to work with engineers and computer scientists will build our societies into a world which reflects our values

I always feel compelled to caveat Phil. study. Minimal understanding of Phil of sci, basic ethics, and the like - that's mostly unproblematic, but I felt there are side-effects of deep study that, for some, are hard to cope with.

This certainly makes sense. Without a healthy mindset, I find some philo inquiry can be detrimental. This was my experience when I encountered nihilism. In saying that, I can’t comment on deep study... I’ve only just begun!

Is this reference from 21 lessons ?

The second part is partially related. Harari said something along the lines of “perhaps philosophy is not a bad career path for the future”, relating it to self driving cars following trolley problem guidelines. I’m gonna chuck some tweets out soon reviewing what I’ve read so far
