Need to seriously reconsider studying at university. Everyone I try to speak to completely shuts me down before I can even get into the reasons why. Oh well, time to have a reasonable discussion with myself then.

What does a typical "shut me down" interaction look like?

“I think I really need to reconsider uni—“ “What? No. You need to keep your options open/ have a backup. You’ll get into a high paying job this way. You’re just doing too many things on the side. Remember why you’re here, just stick it out for 4 years” Along those lines

Ahh ok, I initially read your tweet as you need to reconsider uni because everyone you talk to shuts you down. Are you familiar with Bryan Caplan's book The Case Against Education? He lays out the best reasons for why you might want to continue, and they are not about learning.
