1. In order to improve, you must first know yourself intimately. On a surface level, this means knowing what you're skills and passions are. Go a level deeper, and you are becoming aware of your weaknesses. But this is not enough.

2. To truly understand what makes you tick, you must know your fears. This is where your weaknesses are born. If you start out by trying to curb your weak spots without addressing the deeper causes, you will revert back to your old, comfortable, inhibiting ways.

3. Know your fears. Face them head-on. See them for what they really are. Chances are they're nothing in the scheme of things. Now, knowing this, you can begin to live your life as if you aren't afraid. Do this for long enough, and eventually you won't be. Good luck!
