Why is it that this integral process is neglected when it comes to the matters of greatest importance, such as the future of our individual selves, and the future of life as a collective? 
Seems to me like something is dangerously awry.
I think much of the drought in future planning can be attributed to our overfocus on instantaneous pleasure and satisfaction fuelled by rampant individualism.
Perhaps an increasingly collectivist mindset is necessary. Thoughts?
I base this largely on the fact that global politics has little interest in the future. See: climate change, nuclear weapons, biodiversity etc. Whilst there are emerging organisations trying to address larger global issues (@FHIOxford @OpenAI) nothing can truly happen w/o policy
