A short thread on consciousness:
I view consciousness as the byproduct of our ability to think recursively.
Through these thoughts upon thoughts, we see the ego emerge. (The elusive ‘I’ simply being the top of the stack.)
And once we peel back the layers? We find that, ultimately, nothing lies beneath.
And in this evolution of mediation, contemplation and cognition, so too did an immense anxiety come to play.
A panic of the crippling cosmic kind...

Is it possible to life a harmonious life without renouncing my uniquely human ability to be? I don’t know. But I will stick around and try to find out.
