    I hope the Senate will pass the Justice for Black Farmers Act that I introduced with and . We need to counter the destructive forces that have been unleashed upon Black farmers over the past century.

    Over the last century, racist policies dispossessed Black farmers of millions of acres & forced 95% out of the industry. A new bill would redress those injustices by protecting Black-owned land, restoring lost land, & training young Black farmers.

    This is great news and a big step forward for criminal justice reform in DC. We need sentencing reforms like these across our nation which is why I’m fighting to pass our Second Look Act and Next Step Act in Congress.

    The district feels a little more safe and free tonight after approved the Amendment Act. We can end extreme sentences. Next stop: everywhere!
