The equity metric calculations show Fresno County's positivity rate (positive tests divided by total tests) in the lowest quartile at 7.4%. The equity metric can't move a county backwards in tiers but can prevent forward movement. In this case, it would've done neither.
But the positivity rate in the lowest quartile is quite a bit higher than the rate for the entire county, so it may indicate it'll eventually slow Fresno County arriving in the orange tier. Hard to know. For now, both qualify for red and not for any other color.
I would deduct Coalinga State Hospital and the county jail numbers from the total Corin.
0 cases at CSH in the last 14 days. They do not subtract county jail inmate cases.
This is scary that we can’t even trust the data. I’m fearful people already aren’t trusting the science and now we have this..as someone who has a kiddo who is high risk, I hope they figure this out!
Perhaps the large reduction from last week. But the state really needs to improve their communications here. Right now it's a black box.
These numbers are for the week ending 10/3. I have no idea when those -114 (or more) antigen positive cases got counted, but that's a good guess. I've offered that possibility in my requests for an explanation over the last 4 weeks, but they never seized on it as the answer.
This doesn’t make sense. I thought for sure we were back In purple. So many people not distancing now or wearing masks even in stores
Thank you for trying. I too noticed discrepancies. Perhaps this is getting political; not factual.
Wow. Imagine that.
