And if we let each city do it on their own, guess what happens? They'll decide it makes sense to up-zone in a similar, if not the same, way. This is pretty basic stuff.

Except it's not "next" to buses. It's a half mile. LA isn't ready to walk that far to our crappy bus system And they won't do it. SB50 means more cars in the neighborhood, not less.

The status quo is more sprawl which produces more cars and more traffic. And we have decades of urban planning to prove it. More homes in urban cores means increased investments in transit so Angeleno will walk the 10 minutes (or less!) for regular bus service.
