Exactly my experience in SV, too early every time. Built SmartTV @Intel in ‘95 (disks too slow/small for decent video), etc.. I remember hitchhiking to work (missed bus) and wanting a WAP (flip phone “browsing”) to connect with drivers. Performance & UX issues too problematic
