As a Dr, she has a duty to medical facts and to respond with such when asked. Reaping profit from performing non-medical surgery on healthy, non-consenting individuals constitutes medical fraud. In children, abuse. She’s either a Dr. or a snake oil salesman. Which is it? #i2

Putting aside (for a moment) the ethical problems w/forcing unneeded amputative surgery on a child, it is beyond debate that doctors & hospitals make $ from circumcision. That is a major reason why it's the most commonly performed surgery in the US.http://www.latimes.com/business/lazarus/la-fi-lazarus-circumcision-cost-20160624-snap-story.html …

$100 for 10 minutes of work? Even at that rate, if a doctor averages 5 a week, that's $25k/year w/out breaking a sweat. If you think US doctors made circumcision the most common surgery in this country while not making $ from it, you're delusional.

Hahaha. It isn’t $100 for THE DOCTOR. It’s $100 for the HOSPITAL; so, the doctor, the OTHER doctor, the nurse, the OTHER nurse, the hospital itself for materials, the pharmacy...You seem to neglect the various parts of the exchange...

The hospital, the doctor, the "other" doctor, the nurse, the "other" nurse, the hospital, the gomco clamp manufacturer, the pharmacy. All part of the same for-profit system, all glad to be part of the billion-$ circumcision industry, all would be sorry to see it go.

Do you honestly think US hospitals are charities? That the doctors and nurses who work in them do it out of the goodness of their hearts?

Other than through Medicaid, do you honestly think there's public funding for non-therapeutic circumcision?
