DrJenGunter. You are a Dr. You are supposed to diagnose and indicate treatment based on medical fact, not what you “think.” You might block Twitter users for some time, but you can’t block the truth forever. Those informed can’t claim ignorance. What kind of Dr. are you? #i2

Yes, any comments made here by Dr. Jen can't be seen by me b/c she previously blocked me for daring to question her hypocritical support of non therapeutic infant circumcision. A clear indication of her inability to defend the practice, which is embraced by most US OB_GYN$$.

As a Dr, she has a duty to medical facts and to respond with such when asked. Reaping profit from performing non-medical surgery on healthy, non-consenting individuals constitutes medical fraud. In children, abuse. She’s either a Dr. or a snake oil salesman. Which is it?

Putting aside (for a moment) the ethical problems w/forcing unneeded amputative surgery on a child, it is beyond debate that doctors & hospitals make $ from circumcision. That is a major reason why it's the most commonly performed surgery in the US.http://www.latimes.com/business/lazarus/la-fi-lazarus-circumcision-cost-20160624-snap-story.html …

Sigh. Take your absolute and utter-claptrap that circumcision is done because of a profit motive the fuck outta my mentions. It doesn’t pass the guffaw test.

Moment over: can you explain how it's ethical to strap down a healthy boy and tear his penis apart w/out medical need, in a world which almost universally condemns any kind of FGM? Suggest you read this article before you give yet another absurd answer: http://quillette.com/2017/08/15/female-genital-mutilation-health-benefits-problem-medicalizing-morality/ …

Not talking about medically necessary procedures. Not talking about "the Jewish community" either (although we could come back to that) I'm talking about the 1 million plus non-therapeutic, medicalized circumcisions in the US. Please answer my question & don't change the subject

Not true. Even you don't count religious circumcisions (& there's no reason you should take them out), circumcision is still most common. Appendectomies are medically necessary. Please stop with blatant distractions and give a responsive answer to my question.
