Wow what kind of sick human being do you have to be to still stick up for unnecessary circumcision even when it has KILLED?? Apparently also disregarding the fact that parents can say NO. Ppl like this refuse to admit circ is optional. Surgery is not necessary on HEALTHY NEWBORNS https://twitter.com/good_vibes84/status/979887581583228933 …

“Sick human”?!? This is why people can’t have honest discussions anymore. Imputing motives and claiming moral high ground seems to be the only conclusions that are attempted any more. I wish you well.

"Can't have honest discussions anymore"? Name another cosmetic, unnecessary procedure that can be performed on a child without medical need and result in his death. And when you realize you can't, rethink who it is who's been disingenuous on this thread.

Again, medical professionals here in the states still largely recommend the procedure. “Disingenuous” wouldn’t be a good way to describe my current position.

It was disingenuous to call circumcision "treatment" when it's cosmetic & not medically necessary. That completely changes whether it's ever appropriate to risk a child's life. Fewer and fewer MDs "recommend" circumcision, they are nearly all American, and don't include the AAP.

LOL, I've had 4 year olds actually pretend to fall asleep IRL in front of me as a way to deal with their embarrassment at realizing they can no longer defend their position and to avoid having to acknowledge it - complete with fake snoring! Never seen it in an adult before though
