Please reconsider your use of the word intact. 30% or so of men in the world have suffered some form of forced genital removal and are not intact regardless of gender assignment surgeries.

I would happily consider another word, though the character limit on Twitter does reduce choice. Intact is probably in my head because it’s used in the veterinary world, where of course our patients don’t worry about terminology. What word would you suggest please?

Rather than victim-blaming, shouldn't we recognize that removing a child's body part w/out medical need is wrong, regardless of gender, as the author of this article suggests?
