Never said I'm a libertarian, only that I understand libertarianism, which, again, you clearly don't. Amputating healthy tissue from a child's body is not a decision a parent has legal capacity, let alone responsibility, to make. Can you explain why male genitals are different?

So to recap: 1 Nothing is speculative about the way AAP has misled the public about circumcision 2 You simply "don't care" that most doctors disagree that circumcising an infant is helpful or ethical 3 You can't explain why you think MGM but not FGM is ethical...

...4 Adults, but not infants, can get effective pain management for circ, 5 70%+ of the world's men are intact & share my views, not yours, 6 You never bothered to read the first plank of the party you claim to belong to

4 No one forces an adult to get a circumcision. (Try it & you'll get kicked in the teeth, especially by real libertarians) Virtually all intact men will never want or need one. That's why pro-cutters force it on children, who, unlike adults, can't get effective pain management.

5 At the risk of stating the obvious (since you never seem to want to accept it): 70% > 30%. Muslims are about 20% of the world's population (two-thirds of the 30% who are circumcised). And Muslim opinion in this area is beginning to change just as Jewish opinion is.

6 The Libertarian Party Platform (Section 1.1) could not be clearer: "Individuals own their bodies and have rights over them that other individuals, groups, and governments may not violate." The section on parental rights expressly opposes child abuse.

Amputating a child's foreskin permanently impairs bodily function. That's the "child abuse" that "[t]his statement shall not be construed to condone." #i2
