The birth was about 10.30 pm, I was hassled numerous times all night to give permission until about 5 am...

How long ago did this happen? I had a similar experience (in NY) in 2009. The hospital even scheduled my son to be cut over my & my wife's express objections. Had to raise a big stink to get him off the schedule & save him. It's ALWAYS about the $$
