We are not to look behind the curtain to the fact that the AAP also admits that the true extent of the risks (& harms) of circumcision is unknown. Of course, the only reason the AAP circumcision policy statement said the benefits of circumcision outweigh the risks is because that's what the report HAD to say in order to justify continuing Medicaid reimbursement for it. AAP started with that assumption, & worked backwards...
