I got tonsil surgery done at 7yrs old. Weeks of pain & recovery. I got all my wisdom teeth removed at 15. Weeks of pain & recovery. I never ONCE thought "I wish my parents did this to me as a baby so I wouldn't remember!" I put up and dealt with it. They weren't a big deal!

Tonsils are now recognized as beneficial and they put people on antibiotics to avoid having to remove them. Yet they still are in denial about the foreskin.

Really? Now I wonder what I'm missing since they were removed.. but you're right too few ppl question amputating genitals of non-consenting infants..

So, some people will have them taken out to prevent and remove tonsillitis, others value the enhanced immunity so the doctor can prescribe antibiotics to end the tonsillitis, and preserve the tonsils.

It's difficult if not impossible to find a part of the human anatomy (either male or female) that doesn't have at least one function. Many body parts, including the foreskin, have functions that are unique - lose the body part & you lose that function
