Hmmm...I've read her article. Can you tell me in which paragraph male circumcision is mentioned? Thanks.

Rather than say it outright, when asked (many times) she typically 1) Cites supposed potential health benefits 2) Refuses to respond to any question on the ethics, and 3) Blocks the person who asked.

"supposed" benefits found in multiple randomized trials?

Bear in mind that the near-consensus of physicians worldwide is that newborn circumcision has at best very slight potential clinical benefits. Then there's the ethics, and loss of functional anatomy.

Look it up yourself. Many national physicians organizations have policy statements on this. Only one says potential benefits exceed risks, and the published peer-response was this: http://pediatrics.aappublications.org/content/early/2013/03/12/peds.2012-2896 …

You linked to an article that your buddy also posted, by the same guy with incorrect data! He's the first author! Lol.

Your *best* argument is that 1% - 10,000 boys annually - will get meatal stenosis as a direct result of their circumcisions, and we are supposed to believe that somehow makes it ethical? I get how that's a win for pediatric urologists & $urgeons $$ but how is it good for boys?

"Not wasting more time" is the main argument to escape a losing argumentative conversation. If you do not argue, don't expect to convince even one person. ☆VOTE: Who do you believe? Us or MD 4ur MiNd Lawry? ☆☆☆

If data showed 1% of kids suffer hand injury requiring painful, expensive surgery if allowed to play w/M-80s, who but M-80 manufacturers would say "see, data shows it's only 1%, let the kids play w/them"? Look at who profits from #MGM & you understand why AAP/ACOG is for it #i2
