#i2 @AmerAcadPeds #tweetiatricians Coming from an OB/GYN who apparently supports forcible circumcision of boys @DrJenGunter (KA-CHING!), this might be the most hypocritical article ever written My Vagina Is Terrific. Your Opinion About It Is Not. https://nyti.ms/2jvZ5uJ

Which articles? What data are you referring to? I didn't write the "My Vagina Is Terrific & I'm Free to Cut Off Boys' Foreskins" article & I'm not here to defend it.

The ones you tweeted referring to the incidence of post-circumcision complications.

Can you be more specific?

How about the first one on your timeline, quoting Frisch? Still waiting for where she mentioned male circumcision. Whenever you're ready.

Are you referring to finding that MGM causes pathological narrowing the urethral opening in 5% - 20% of boys? Would be interested in knowing your basis for disputing it? Moreover, why is any risk of complications acceptable for unneeded amputative surgery on a minor?

Yeah, actual incidence is 1%. That outcome represents 5-20% of the complications observed. Not up to 20% of actual procedures. Check the data.

I appreciate someone finally trying to have a fact-based discussion. Assuming for the moment the risk of meatal stenosis is 1%, why is that an acceptable risk for non therapeutic amputation of healthy, functional part of a penis w/out *patient* consent? #i2
