I draw the line at parents rights when it involves permanent harm. Religious rights belong to individuals. If we use the logic of "medical benefits" we could justify cutting many other parts.

What other useless part can cause harm if left in tact?

Some think the appendix is, and it nearly killed me. Toes have less value than the prepuce, IMO, and Bob Marley died from one. Males have a higher chance of breast cancer than penile cancer. I am sure I could identify more.

And I know surgeons who insist if you are going someplace remote for a long time they would want your appendix out. Do you know the difference? Entering the body and use if anesthesia makes it dangerous. And try running without toes dip

So, your claim is that toes are more valuable than the prepuce. Many men would disagree. Some butchers use anesthetic during the amputation of the prepuce.

If done correctly at 8 days mot necessary. And certainly not under anesthesia.

It is dangerous to put a baby completely under, and, it's a painful procedure. Thus, another good reason to wait until older.

Obviously, you’re unfamiliar with Brit Milah. My son barely cried. He cried when they took his diaper off before anything was done to him.

Before I had a well-formed opinion of #circumcision I attend a traditional bris. Even with the numbing cream, the baby screamed like I've never heard a human being scream before or since. If your son didn't cry, it's only b/c he passed out from the pain.
