Explain to me this mom phenomenon: The same folks who say that circumcising is genital mutilation are the first to suggest cutting a baby’s tongue and lip ties so they can breastfeed better. There are more proven medical advantages to circumcision than breastfeeding.

Serious question...do Jewish people circumcise children for the "medical advantages" though...or is it predominantly for religious reasons.

For religious reasons. But circumcision is common among non-Jews in the USA for medical and aesthetic reasons.

While true, the medical is rare and it’s not an infants medical need as a preventive. 2/3 of my sons were non circ, a stance began when my oldest was furious it was done to him (he was 6) and told me he wasn’t going to be checking his brothers out
