1 You don't actually think the justification for infant #circumcision is that it accomplishes what the boy would choose for himself anyway. Like all cutter parents, you cut for 1 reason: b/c you've a poorly formed opinion about what the penis "should" look like...

...you wrongly think you're entitled to force that poorly formed opinion onto someone else's body, and you were able to do this b/c you live in a society that wrongly deems you to have the right to have done it.

2 You don't actually think
#circumcision is a "traditional" American practice. I think even you now realize that is among your more ridiculous statements, which is really saying something.#i21 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

3 You don't actually have a principled objection to what you call "gotcha" tactics or "technicalities." You'd back up another cutter mother who wanted to cut her 17 y.o. son, & it doesn't get more "gotcha" than "I can cut you b/c your birthday is tomorrow & not today"

Lol k so all those tweets for a presumption that is wrong - no, I don’t support circ past certain age absent
need. The benefits of circ are greatly reduced past certain life periods. This is known by doctors and is why late-circs are only performed on at-risk populations.1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

So are you changing your position? What's the "certain age"?

I didn't ask when you thought it was "best." I asked up until what age should it be permissible to force
#circumcision on a child- or as you put it, when parents no longer "retain the rights to their child." Your answer is the age of consent (18).#i21 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

So all 3 of my points apply to you & aren't based on a "wrong presumption," but on your own statements.

There is no wrong age if there is a medical call for it, so I do not and will not cap it. Late circs are rare but sometimes necessary.

We're not talking about medically necessary circumcision, we're talking about forcing it on a child w/out medical need. It's clear you're embarrassed by your answer & the implications of it, but that doesn't mean you get to change the question. #i2
