"It is a rite"? So was human sacrifice, from the same time child
#circumcision began. So is#FGM, the actual facts of which you've avoided like the plague.1 reply 0 retweets 7 likes -

If parents stay uneducated about
#circumcision, as so many in the US do, then their children are left defenseless. US MDs certainly won't protect them. And even a parent's adamant refusal to consent sometimes isn't enough to defend them, as I've already explained to you.#i21 reply 0 retweets 7 likes -

Defenseless to what exactly? Also circ is not forcibly performed. It is an elective operation

It's not an elective operation when the patient doesn't - because he can't - consent.

Parents can consent for or against. Infantile circ presents almost no complications and should always be preferred for a patient who will be considered for the operation.

I was present the entire circumcision for my babies. I was the one to help hold them while it was performed. That’s a very dramatic recollection.

Only if by "dramatic recollection" you mean "accurate account of a trained, objective medical professional who's not desperate to justify tearing apart her own sons' penises."

A small forceps was quickly used to remove adhesions, the forceps was clamped down on the skin atop the glans, another clamp was slid over the glans and under the forceps, and the skin was excised cleanly. Clamp is removed. Cut inspected. 30sec procedure.

Not just "skin"; totally unnecessary; totally unethical; totally wrong. Those are demonstrable facts which you haven't refuted that and you never will.

Just skin, as the term “foreskin” implies (all skin has nerves and some capillaries); totally practical and culturally significant; not unethical; not wrong. These have all been addressed but I say it all again. Wanna run in circles?
