I didn't accuse you of acting 'maliciously', I accused you of being 'misguided' and having done something that 'damaged' your own kids. Try to keep up.

By saying “remove it as quick as possible before consent can be withheld” you are HEAVILY implying the nature of the decision was to go against the child’s interests.

Not the nature of the decision, but it’s effects, was to go against the child’s best interest, whether that was the intent or not.

Since 99.9% of intact men choose to stay that way (absent an actual medical condition), then I can say with certainty that you have gone against the child's preference in nearly every case. Irreversibly removing useful tissue they would have wanted is against their interest.

Lots of men say they would opt in if the procedure were paid for. Attitudes about circ are more positive than you think. Perhaps because they know women prefer it.

The low uptake of 'free' circumcisions in Africa put the lie to your statement. They are currently resorting to bribing men monetarily due to low 'volunteer' rates.

The V in VMMC stands for voluntary. Also I don’t see evidence that it’s not being utilized - the orgs running the show report that they’ve reached 80-90% of target goal.

What part of "10 year old ... circumcised against his family's wishes and cultural beliefs" sounds like it was "voluntary" to you? The fact is pro-cutters think that
#circumcision should be a matter of parental choice only when that "choice" is to circumcise.#i2#VMMC#bioethics1 reply 0 retweets 1 like -
Conspiracy to get the skins!
They are there to help with the AIDS epidemic.
I don’t believe for one minute they are trying to cut against anyone’s will. I attribute those rare instances to translation barriers.2 replies 0 retweets 0 likes
There's no evidence of "translation barriers," but if there were, that only proves consent was not obtained.
You can continue to stubbornly refuse to believe what's obviously true, and throw up illogical nonsense for that, but don't expect much company in the years to come. #i2
