Infant circumcision is particularly insidious because the individual never had the opportunity to compare. Like being color blind or deaf all your life. The body compensates as best it can, but you really can't know what you are missing. #i2

The body does compensate and most men who are circumcised never know the difference. America ranks with its competitors in terms of sexual fulfillment, our boys don’t seem to miss what they never had.

The “body does compensate”? You are confusing say blind peoples’ becoming more aware of sounds with actual missing genital nerve endings - those endings don’t regrow elsewhere.

Tessla has a strange morality. She is arguing that if you can get away with a crime without the victim noticing then that justifies it. Like robbing someone's home without them noticing. If they don't notice then maybe it isn't even a crime.

You’re right! Here’s an article that expressly addresses a victim not remembering the crime: https://intactamerica.wordpress.com/2013/09/18/circumcision-and-rape-does-a-victims-memory-matter/ … Another good one on consent: https://www.academia.edu/33041051/How_different_are_female_male_and_intersex_genital_cutting … And one on false beliefs about circ leading to “satisfaction” with it:https://www.academia.edu/35001238/False_beliefs_predict_increased_circumcision_satisfaction_in_a_sample_of_US_American_men …

Not connecting it to morality at all, simply arguing that when the skin is removed the user still has other skin and other nerve that is useful. Sexually men are just as fulfilled cut (as infants) as uncut

Prove that. You make the claims, the burden of proof is on you. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-47292307 … https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/23374102 Of course there is a connection to morality, you are just too blinkered to see the parallels with FGMhttps://www.dovepress.com/female-genital-mutilation-and-male-circumcision-toward-an-autonomy-bas-peer-reviewed-fulltext-article-MB …

Male circumcision has no parallels to FGM. I’ve already dropped images proving my point. The studies are also available in the first page of a google search on sex around the world or comparing countries. US shows similar to UK. Cut men have great sex and women like it too!

Nonsense. You are conflating all forms of FGM. In Indonesia infant girls are cut in a doctor’s office, with only the clitoral hood removed, the exact equivalent of MGM. Should that be allowed then? What about the ritual nick the AAP tried to push?

They didn’t try to push it, they felt obliged to conflate it with circumcision but revisited it because FGM poses no benefit while circ does. Some forms of FGM are not as extreme, but that makes up VERY little FGM. All forms pose zero benefit.

@AmerAcadPeds withdrew its 2010 statement in favor of Type IV #FGM b/c of "criticism from opponents of any form of female genital cutting." It had nothing to do w/their perceiving "FGM poses no benefit." Tessla, your lies have reached Trumpian levels. #i2http://healthland.time.com/2010/05/27/pediatricians-group-withdraws-statement-on-female-circumcision/ …
