Defenseless to what exactly? Also circ is not forcibly performed. It is an elective operation

It's not an elective operation when the patient doesn't - because he can't - consent.

Parents can consent for or against. Infantile circ presents almost no complications and should always be preferred for a patient who will be considered for the operation.

You are self-deluding in your consent argument. The damage done in circumcision is of a scale that only the individual is qualified to consent and an infant cannot consent. I'm sorry if you damaged your children this way, but continuing to argue for this won't help them.

Even if there was no damage done (which is false, there is significant damage done), but even if there were no damage, it would still be unethical to 'elect' it for the penis owner when they're a baby.

It’s more ethical because it saves the patient surgery time, money, recovery time, pain, and is more likely to be without complications.

Besides being patently false as to pain & complications, that falsely assumes "the patient" will want to have it done eventually anyway. You know full well that's not true. Stop being disingenuous in order to CYA about what you did to your sons.

Many studies suggest that men would elect if the operation was paid for. African communities where HIV is an issue. Hispanic immigrants in America were studied because of their high rate of std and low cut rate. Over half the men reported they would elect and would do their sons

Africans are starting to see that "free" circumcisions their men have been getting have been good for nothing. Tell a man he reduces his risk of getting an STD by being cut, & he might embrace circ, but the fact is it doesn't meaningfully reduce the risk.https://www.researchgate.net/publication/271841897_A_CDC-requested_Evidence-based_Critique_of_the_Centers_for_Disease_Control_and_Prevention_2014_Draft_on_Male_Circumcision_How_Ideology_and_Selective_Science_Lead_to_Superficial_Culturally-biased_Recom …

That reads like a sour opinion piece. He makes claims but adds noting of substance-for instance the claim that only 255 studies were used when a search of circ returns 6k+, but doesn’t say that x amount of studies proved opposite point to cdc info. It’s quackery.

Not a sour opinion - the opinion of most of the world's physicians, who do not recommend #circumcision as a means of preventing HIV. There's no evidence that the campaign to circumcise Africa is actually stemming the spread of #HIV - just the opposite. #i2
