Statistics say that FGM causes women to be turned off from sex. Circumcision statistically does not.

Please read the articles I've sent you, so you can see what the facts are & stop inventing "alternative facts" that have no basis in reality, just to make yourself feel better. The truth is there are both (1) women who like being cut & (2) men who don't like being cut.

I do not deny that there is a small circle of men in recent times that wish they could be uncut. I even acknowledged the personal revelation about your own experience and feelings. But speaking in totality, men don’t care & women receive no benefit at the cost of their sexuality

Your non-denial comes only after assuming there weren't "statistics that suggest that cut men are unhappy." You then saw those stats, & grasped for unpersuasive reasons to doubt them. What you acknowledged is that my "right" to my intact body should've been but wasn't respected.pic.twitter.com/Tinzr7gjYp

I don’t know how to be clearer, other than to say that for concise conversation you have to deal in generals. By “your right”, in that thread I was specifically recognizing your right to choose not to circ your children. It shouldn’t be mandatory although I believe it best

LOL, what "could not be clearer" from our exchange is that in response to my post that unambiguously said non therapeutic infant
#circumcision is wrong b/c I always objected (& nothing about supposed parental rights), you said "it is your right."1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

And when I then asked you about the violation of that right, all you could come up with "shit happens and life ain't fair." Not "it was your parent's right to cut you." I get why you've got poster's remorse about that though, now that you've thought through the implications.

The shorthand for what Bacon is describing there is "confirmation bias," and it clouds the judgment of every single person who supports non therapeutic infant #circumcision. When you look only for what will support your pre-determined position, guess what you find?
