What they never *knew they had. As I've stated before, the more a man learns about the structures and functions lost during circumcision, the more likely he is to be unhappy about it.

Perhaps in your experience, but that hasn’t translated into real numbers yet.

So we should continue to violate the bodily autonomy of men until what.. ? What's done is done. All I'm interested in is getting it to stop. I left my boys intact, and the statistics suggest they will be happy that way all their lives.

There’s no statistics that suggest that cut men are unhappy. Men will make decisions as fathers as to if they will leave their child intact if they feel their autonomy was violated by their parents.

Actually, there are. This study found 64.2% of men cut as newborns view it negatively - yet another reason why it's not better to cut an infant as opposed to an adult. Only 5.5% of intact men viewed that status negatively (See Table 2)https://www.researchgate.net/publication/319635437_Attitude_Toward_One's_Circumcision_Status_Is_More_Important_than_Actual_Circumcision_Status_for_Men's_Body_Image_and_Sexual_Functioning …

I appreciate the research but even the study admits that there are likely extreme biases toward a polarized view of circumcision and that the date is not likely at all representative of general population.

As with any good study the authors stated its limitations, though your characterizations ("extreme biases" & "not likely at all representative") go beyond what they said & what's fair. Do you think we're headed a world w/fewer or more men w/a polarized view of

Actually both a paraphrased quotes directly from the authors. Did you read it yourself?

I read the article. You obviously went right for the "Limitations" section at the end for your "paraphrasing" in which you (not the authors) inserted the words "extreme biases" & "not likely at all representative"

What do you think polarized means? *hint: extreme* They even include finding from a general survey of population that found 62% positive attitudes toward circ and 30 something % neutral attitude. I’m always glad for research but it didn’t go anywhere.

"to polarize" is "to break up into opposing factions or groupings". Nothing about the definition suggests "extreme biases" - those were your words. That a general survey about #circumcision generally is so positive only makes cut men's views of their own status more remarkable.
