Not trying to deny anyone anything. Rather, I'm trying to prevent boys from being denied a healthy part of their own bodies.
Since one can't know or control if a particular infant will object as I always have, infant circumcision is wrong unless absolutely medically needed. #i2

Infant circumcision is particularly insidious because the individual never had the opportunity to compare. Like being color blind or deaf all your life. The body compensates as best it can, but you really can't know what you are missing.

The body does compensate and most men who are circumcised never know the difference. America ranks with its competitors in terms of sexual fulfillment, our boys don’t seem to miss what they never had.

What they never *knew they had. As I've stated before, the more a man learns about the structures and functions lost during circumcision, the more likely he is to be unhappy about it.

Perhaps in your experience, but that hasn’t translated into real numbers yet.

So we should continue to violate the bodily autonomy of men until what.. ? What's done is done. All I'm interested in is getting it to stop. I left my boys intact, and the statistics suggest they will be happy that way all their lives.

And in the unlikely case they aren't, when they're old enough to consent, they can change that. It's THEIR choice to make.

Precisely, although I will be advising them not to do it at a sexual partner's request. It's unlikely. Most Australian women I know (and presumably gay men) are not put off by natural male genitalia.

That would indeed be the stupidest motive to do it, really.

I've heard horror stories. The worst being a wife demand he do it after 20 years of marriage, only to divorce him a few months after the procedure.

Yeah, if your wife of that many years demands you surgically reduce your penis, there are almost certainly other issues that won't be fixed by any surgery.
