Mutilating baby genitalia because it'll make your imaginary friend happy sounds a lot more twisted when you say it in such literal terms.https://twitter.com/AndrewYang/status/1108146755311407105 …

It's amazing to me that in this day and age, and in a country that considers itself to be progressive, it's still perfectly legal to perform non-consensual genital mutilation on children. ...but only if they're male, of course.

"Mutilation" implies removing function, yet the best research I've seen shows no diffrence in sexual satisfaction. On top of that, women who've had both slightly prefer cut vs uncut. So "reconfiguration" might be a more accurate term.

Also, to put circumcision in the same room as FGM, shows you arn't even educated enough on the two to even have an opinion. The equivalent of FGM to a male would be to remove most of the penis. Not just some extra skin.

Let's see if you can explain - w/reference to facts (as opposed to the unsupported nonsense you've made up) - how this comparison of
#FGM &#circumcision is wrong. When you can't, take a good look in the mirror & see the person not educated on this subjecthttps://quillette.com/2017/08/15/female-genital-mutilation-health-benefits-problem-medicalizing-morality/ …1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -
So you quote an article where something that is not FGM, the “ritual nick”, is called FGM by a bureaucrat and then linked to circumcision? This is a basic "Association fallacy". The premises in the article are faulty, thus the conclusion is as well.

I said FACTS. The "ritual nick" is Type IV #FGM. That is a fact. You can deny it all you want, it's still an indisputable, irrefutable fact.
What's faulty here is the premise of your tweet.
Are you in favor of forcing the ritual nick on girls, whether or not called #FGM? #i2
