Oh, I see. So you'd agree that "[w]hen a slave-owner strikes a male or female slave with a rod...[and] the slave survives for a day or two, there is no punishment; for the slave is the owner's property." (Exodus 21:20-21.) Right? #i2 #ethics #meded #WhenCuttersAppealtotheBible

Because if God thought owning a slave and beating him (or her) to within an inch of his (or her) life was really that bad, he wouldn't have told Moses to do it. As someone who serves God and not man, you'd agree, right? Shouldn't you be campaigning to repeal the 13th Amendment?

Why don't we focus more on these words: "As for the male and female slaves whom you may have...they may be your property. You may keep them as a possession for your children after you, for them to inherit as property." (Leviticus 25:44-46.) Just gotta respect the word, right bro?

Be careful what you wish for; someone might point out that your profile picture isn't exactly compliant with Leviticus 19:27 ("You shall not round off the hair on your temples or mar the edges of your beard.")

For which of these acts is the
#death penalty required by Leviticus an appropriate punishment? Adultery? (20:10-12) Men having sex w/each other? (20:13) Being a male or female#wizard or#medium? (20:27)#WitchHunt Being a priest's daughter who commits prostitution? (21:9)1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes
Is the Levitical #death penalty appropriate for:
Blasphemy? (24:10-23)
Or my personal favorite, simply being "human beings who have been devoted to destruction" at the whim of whoever takes it upon himself to do the "devoting" (27:28-29)
