Male circumcision also helps in the Prevention of something called “phimosis” (the inability to retract the foreskin of the penis) and it also prevents “paraphimosis” (the inability to return the foreskin to its original location). If you have the option as a parent, pls do it.

And for clarity sake, it is a CRIME to circumcise girls. There’s NO medical reasons or medical benefits to female circumcision. NONE whatsoever. That uncircumcised girls become sexually loose and nymphomaniac is an absolute lie and a myth. It is NOT true. I hope this is clear.

Female circumcision, or female genital mutilation (FGM), is a procedure where the female genitals are deliberately cut, injured, sliced or changed. It’s an evil practice that has NO medical benefits. It's usually carried out on young girls between infancy and the age of 15.

And for those who may be unaware, it is a CRIME to circumcise a woman or girl child in Nigeria. According to Section 6 of the Violence Against Persons Prohibition Act 2015, you can go to jail if you are reported and found guilty at a competent law court. Ignorance is no excuse.pic.twitter.com/gAqqPYYdwO

Anyway, back to the main tweet, if you have a baby boy, it’s advisable and I personally recommend that the child be circumcised for all the above medical benefits I listed in the previous tweets. If you have not being circumcised, you may want to consider it sometimes later.

If you have a boy child or you are a man who is not circumcised and gets repeated infections of the foreskin, or the foreskin is too tight to retract or fails to return after retracting or the foreskin is getting torn and causing a lot pain and discomfort, pls get circumcised.

It’s a simple procedure carried out on a “day patient” basis. This means you'll be admitted to hospital on the same day you have surgery and you will go home same day, all things being equal. It usually takes less than an hour and it’s over. It’s not a major surgery at all.

Male Circumcision is relatively simple. The foreskin is cut just behind the head of the penis using a scalpel or surgical scissors. Any bleeding (usually light) is stopped using heat (cauterisation) and remaining edges of skin are stitched together using dissolvable stitches.

Concerning pain during the procedure: Usually you will either have a general anaesthetic, which means you'll be unconscious throughout the procedure, or you will be given a anaesthetic injection, which will numb your penis and the surrounding area so you feel no pain at all.

Let's be clear: "you" will have general anesthetic if "you" are an adult.
If "you" are an infant having circumcision forced on "you," then "you" will not have general anesthetic b/c it's considered too risky. "You" will not get adequate pain relief during the surgery. #torture
