THIS is ONLY because we're not following God's instruction to circumcise males on the 8th day, Genesis 17:10. Studies prove that on that one day vitamin K is so elevated there is barely any pain or bleeding.
How did they know this so long ago? Because God told them!

What"bodily integrity" did you have as a newborn? Did you choose if you were breast or bottle fed? If you were immunized? When you went to the doctor? When you started solids? Parents can make decisions for their kids - that's their job.

#i2 Even if the benefits of child circumcision outweighed its harms & risks (most MDs say the opposite), it's unethical to amputate part of a child's healthy genitals. Let's see who can explain how#MGM &#FGM are different in a way not addressed here:https://quillette.com/2017/08/15/female-genital-mutilation-health-benefits-problem-medicalizing-morality/ …2 replies 0 retweets 1 like -

Most MDs do not say the opposite, most MDs agree that if anything there seems to be some evidence that circumcision may have health benefits, but the majority are probably neutral and agree it's the parents choice

#i2 False.@CanPaedSociety@TheBMA@TheRACP, the Royal Dutch Medical Ass'n & every other non-U.S. medical ass'n to have considered the evidence has concluded the purported benefits don't outweigh the risks & harms. Moreover, the Danish Medical Ass'n & Bio-Ethics Committee of the Belgian gov't (among other physician groups) have said flat-out that non therapeutic circumcision of boys is unethical. They are only admitting the irrefutable

If "it's the parent's choice" to amputate all or most of a boy's foreskin (which includes unique smooth muscle tissue, nerves, blood vessels & sebaceous glands), then you must agree "it's the parent's choice" simply to nick part of a girl's genitals. #i2 https://www.newsweek.com/fgm-female-genital-mutilation-circumcision-us-constitution-law-legal-1289860 …
