Most Intactivists are interested in eating and drinking too. Blurring of issues just leads to confusion. "Trans-activists" forcibly transitioning children is incredibly rare compared to infant MGC and seems to be largely a bugaboo of transphobes.

Eh. I know a man who is undoubtedly trans, and yeah, his mum makes his 'trans-status' all about her, so to speak. She a hard-core SJW-type, in the worst sense. And I've seen the underbelly of the beast. They exist, mothers who hurt their own children for attention...

There's a bloody name for it - Munchhausen's-by-proxy. If there is any doubt on the claim that this child is trans, whether that doubt comes from a Jesus-lovin' mum, or an anti-SJW dad, doctors should be extremely careful with any treatment that could have long-term consequences.

And I'm against any, ANY, medical interference with trans children. I understand the issues with puberty, etc, but hormones and surgery should not be used prior to the age of at least 16 or so. I say 16 because there are girls that start hormonal BC at that age, which is similar.

Prior to that, 'social' transitioning', hair cuts, clothes, even name changes, I see as somewhat reasonable, although fucking around with identity isn't always ideal, but at the least, there are fewer physical risks there.

Thanks Jacob. You've short-circuited my brain. I'll be back in a couple of hours after I've wiped my hard drives, rebooted my system and reinstalled my OS.

Also, the short-circuit was caused by the 'non-regret mum being an intactivist' thing. Like Tyler said, those two lines of thinking just don't seem to go together.

Saying you're an intactivist but don't regret circumcising your son is like saying you're an abolitionist but don't regret owning slaves. One part of that (or both) simply isn't true.

Yup. That's some class A cognitive dissonance going on there. I'm surprised she can tie her shoes. And I'm only assuming she can actually tie her shoes.
